He is quick to respond and does a professional job! He checked back with us numerous times after install to make sure the training was going well. When the lines were cut due to some yard work we had, he showed up and got us going again. This is the BEST purchase we have ever made and our dog is so happy!Posted on Laura ReinholzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very professional. I have owned Dogwatch system sine living in NY in 1995. I have brought the system with me to a move to MA and now SC. This system had contained by black lab and Siberian Husky and Pharoah Hound and Miniature Pincher.Posted on Bernard Peter RobichauTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We made our first electric fence investment with Palmetto Dog Watch not knowing what to expect, and they were so professional and helpful, taking time to explain everything and ensure that the fence was working to our expectations. They followed up unsolicited a few weeks later, and have been quick to respond with repair requests (at a reasonable rate), a new collar for a new dog and a replacement part most recently. Highly recommended!Posted on Sherri DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is an awesome pet containment system. We have been very satisfied with ours. Jamie is very friendly and professional. He knows what he’s doing and gets the job done quick. We were having a hard time keeping our dogs in the yard and we haven’t had a problem since we chose Palmetto DogWatch. Well worth the money !Posted on David AlexanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a second-location installation, and the first with Palmetto. I got the same (or better!) service even though I didn’t need more collars from this dealer. Highly recommendPosted on Catherine WilliamsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend Jamie and Dogwatch. Jamie has always been quick to respond to anything we have needed over the years, like bringing new batteries by for collars, and changing the layout of our fencing because I can’t make up my mind, and all done with a positive, professional attitude! We have 2 cane corsos and an Australian Shepherd and I was apprehensive that an invisible fence would be affective for the corsos. IT IS! The training Jamie provided for the dogs and for us as owners is outstanding. I have full confidence in him and in his product!

You Asked, We Answered
The SideWalker is used to train dogs to walk on a leash without pulling and to reinforce appropriate leash walking behavior.
A sensor under the collar strap on the SideWalker is triggered by pressure when the dog pulls on the leash (or when you pull the leash to direct the dog into the desired position.) When the sensor is activated, the dog receives either a vibration or a stimulation. The SideWalker should be set to a level that is just enough to distract the dog from the pulling behavior. Most dogs learn quickly that the sensation stops when the pulling stops.
Several variables affect how quickly your dog’s behavior will change, most notably the personality of your dog and the environment in which you are training the dog. Most dogs begin to understand the relationship between pulling and the vibration/stimulation after several activations of the collar. The pulling behavior diminishes quickly in some dogs and more gradually in others. If there is no noticeable change in pulling behavior after a reasonable trial period, check the collar to make sure the fit is good and the contact posts are the correct size. If collar fit is appropriate and the dog continues to pull, the SideWalker setting should be increased one level.
The SideWalker is safe and effective on dogs as small as 6 pounds.
We recommend waiting until the dog is 4-6 months old.
The components in the SideWalker are specified to operate from minus 25 degrees (F) to 125 degrees (F). A significant and rapid change in temperature may temporarily disrupt some of the SideWalker functions until the device adjusts to the new temperature level.
